The Radcliffeborough carriage house previously served the neighboring mansion which is now owned by Ashley Hall. The goal of the project was to stabilize and rehabilitate the old structure into a home for the new owner, while maintaining the character of this early 18th century gem. Throughout the project, many challenges were overcome, such as creatively adding two bathrooms in limited space to a house that originally only had one. In the sunroom, you can see evidence of old openings in the masonry wall that allowed for carriages to be stored inside. This detail was left exposed to highlight the story that this building wants to tell.
